The Series 1000—2 WIRE range of Conventional Fire Alarm Control Panels is designed to conform to BS 5839 Part 4. Available in a standard range from 2 to 24 zones, each with internal power supply and space for Sealed Lead Acid Batteries. The internal power supply can be supplied from 3 ratings: 1.25 Amp, 3 Amp, or 5 Amp.
The panels are housed in an attractive metal enclosure with all user controls and indications located on the front fascia, together with clear operating instructions. A bezel can be fitted to the back box to enable the control panel to be flush mounted. Special colours or non-standard finishes are available to special order.
The Series 1000—2 WIRE control panels allow for connection of each zone with detectors, call points, and sounders utilising only 2 wires. Call points must have fitted a series resistor and be polarised (blocking diode). Standard detectors can be used with specially adapted bases (available from detector manufacturers). Standard polarised alarm sounders are used. An end-of-line resistor (5k6) is fitted at the last device. Each zone has an internal isolate switch together with jumper links to provide for conventional four-wire connection. Two common monitored sounder outputs are provided for this facility.
Ample cable entries are provided at the top of the enclosure, and removable chassis plates are provided on the larger panels. The electronics are based upon a system of “motherboards” with plug-in modules allowing customising of the panel to the site requirements.
